Richard Linklater says he'll tackle Texas' justice system in Alex Gibney HBO docuseries Letter from Huntsville

The acclaimed filmmaker tells The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast that Gibney is developing a three-part docuseries on the three ills of contemporary Texas: the criminal justice system, the border and the energy industry, according to The Playlist. “It’s a three-part piece on contemporary Texas, and I’m doing the criminal justice part, there’s a part on the border, and there’s another on the energy industry," says Linklater, a native of Huntsville, Texas. "And it’ll prolly come off as the three ills of Texas, three things that could be better.”
