Real World is headed to Facebook Watch to be "re-imagined" for a global audience

  • MTV Studios and Bunim/Murray are teaming with Facebook to create three location-specific seasons of The Real World centered on casts in the United States, Mexico and Thailand. The new Real World is scheduled to premiere in spring 2019. “The Real World made history as the world’s first original reality show and trailblazing social experiment — and we’re thrilled to reboot the show for today’s audiences — representing and amplifying the real life, real people, real places and real social tensions of each country,” said Matthew Henick, Facebook’s head of content planning and strategy, in a statement.
