President Trump left the College Football National Championship game at halftime

The president was greeted by a mixture of cheers and boos at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz stadium when he walked on the field for the National Anthem. But less than two hours later, Trump was gone. The president's plane landed at Andrews Air Force base before the game was over. As predicted, the game, which went into overtime, lasted past midnight on the East Coast. The president also wasn’t around for Kendrick Lamar’s performance, which took place at a park outside the stadium and was shown inside the venue.
