Penny Dreadful: City of Angels will become the 16th TV series to relocate to California thanks to the state's $24.7 million in tax credits. The California Film Commission announced that the Showtime series will move from Dublin to Los Angeles. Penny Dreadful: City of Angels is set in 1938 Los Angeles and is described as a spiritual descendant of the Victorian-era seasons.
