Oscar-winning Hair Love filmmaker Matthew A. Cherry signs a television deal with Warner Bros. TV

In his first TV deal, Cherry will create, develop and produce TV projects for multiple platforms for Warner Bros. TV. "I am beyond excited to be joining the Warner Bros. Television family in this exciting new capacity," said Cheerry, who won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film in February. "It’s an important time to be a Black creative working in this industry, and I look forward to creating impactful projects and partnering with other talented marginalized voices in our community."
