Minnie Driver: FX canceled The Riches in retaliaton over the writers' strike

The Riches, airing for two seasons from 2007 to 2008, starred Driver and Eddie Izzard as a family of Irish Traveller con artists and thieves. But its second season was affected by the writers' strike. When posed the question Wednesday of what show she would resurrect, Driver responded on Twitter: "#TheRiches It was a brilliant show, predicated on an even more brilliant idea. We were cancelled in the wake of punitive measures taken against writers who were vocal in the writers strike in 2007. Lunacy. I’d make this show again in a heartbeat."
