Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. renewed for a shortened Season 6

ABC has ordered a 13-episode sixth season but there's no word yet if next season will be the last for the Marvel series. The renewal comes as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is having a tie-in in to the blockbuster Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Avengers: Infinity War. The Season 5 finale airs on Friday, and co-creator Jed Whedon previously said it was planned to work as a series finale in case the show was canceled. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has averaged 2.1 million viewers, but it has an important international viewership.
