MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell blasts CNN for paying Trump surrogates to "lie" to their viewers

O'Donnell, appearing on The Al Franken Podcast, disagreed with the former U.S. senator's characterization of CNN as playing it "down the middle, except we hate Trump." O'Donnell accused CNN of employing Trump supporters with one-third of its payroll. "So CNN has people on the payroll who they pay to tell their lies to the CNN audience in the middle of a CNN hour for some number of minutes," said O'Donnell. "And so Trump knows that if you watch CNN at least you’ll hear someone lying in (his) favor.”
