M*A*S*H star David Ogden Stiers dies at 75

The actor known for his "stuffy, punctilious" role as Major Charles Emerson Winchester III died Saturday of complications from bladder cancer the same week that the iconic Korean War comedy celebrated the 35th anniversary of its famous series finale. In a recent oral history of M*A*S*H, Jamie Farr recalled Stiers as prankster on set -- who was immune to being pranked. Stiers had numerous other TV roles, including narrating numerous episodes of PBS' American Experience.
