Louis CK’s former manager apologizes for “perceived cover-up”

  • Dave Becky, whose clients include Amy Poehler, Aziz Ansari and Kevin Hart, denied threatening two female comedians in last week’s New York Times bombshell. Today, he apologized and tried to explain that he thought the two female comedians, Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov, were spreading a rumor about an extramarital affair with Louis CK, not that he had sexually harassed them. “I profoundly regret and am deeply sorry for not listening to and not understanding what happened to Dana and Julia,” he wrote. “If I had, I would have taken this event as seriously as it deserved to be, and I would have confronted Louis, which would have been the right thing to do.” UPDATE: Pamela Adlon dropped Becky as her manager over the weekend.
