The female-run shows have made a difference in the #MeToo era, several of the Lifetime showrunners said at the TV press tour. “We absolutely have created a safe space in our writers room, on our set and with our actors,” said UnReal showrunner Stacy Rukeyser. “(But) when you’ve got a couple hundred people working on a show, stuff comes up."
