Leta Powell Drake responds to her viral fame

Over the past 24 hours, the Nebraska Broadcasters Hall of Fame member has trended on Twitter over her old interviews with celebrities from the 1970s and 1980s. Drake, now 83 and retired, was unaware that her old interviews had gone viral when contacted today by Indiewire. "I interviewed so many people so long ago,” she said. “I had the opportunity to go to New York, and I did lots of interviews and I kept them. I did work accumulating and I finally put them into the Nebraska History Museum because I thought somebody would be interested. Apparently, someone must have!” Asked about her unique interview style, which has been compared to Between Two Ferns, Drake responded: “Well, I’m noisy!”
