Lee Daniels teams with Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley on ABC's Moss Landing, a country music-gospel mashup series

The potential series is set in a small Florida coastal town and follows Marion James, a disgraced country star, and Sky Miller, an African-American gospel and soul singer in a sweeping love story. Each episode will unlock the mystery of their troubled pasts. Hemlock Grove co-creator Lee Shipman will serve as showrunner. Kelley, one-half of the country duo Florida Georgia Line, will serve as an executive producer. Moss Landing is Daniels' second series in development at ABC. His NFL player-inspired Cupcake Man was given a pilot commitment in October.
