Lee Daniels says he plans to wrap up Star with a two-hour movie

Daniels announced plans for a Star movie on Instagram on Friday afternoon without mentioning any details, such as whether it would air on Fox. “I wanted to share some bad and news and good news," he said. "The bad news is that star is not getting picked up for series. To long of a story to cry about. But the good news is that we’re doing a movie of the week to wrap things up for y’all.” Daniels added: “We’re gonna make something real special for you to scream about with all of our cast members, even the dead ones.” Fox and 20th Century Fox TV have yet to react to Daniels' announcement.
