LeVar Burton is now openly lobbying to host Jeopardy!

When fans of the former Reading Rainbow and Star Trek: The Next Generation star first pushed for him to guest-host last November, Burton reacted with grace and humility, but he didn’t seem too optimistic about its chances. “Even if nothing comes from it, I can’t tell how much how I appreciate all y’alls love and support,” Burton tweeted at the time. But now, Burton is openly lobbying for the gig, tweeting the petition Monday night with the message: “Leaving this here in the event the powers that be are listening…" Burton's tweet came on Aaron Rodgers' first night guest-hosting Jeopardy!
