Laverne Cox named the new host of E! Live from the Red Carpet

The Orange Is the New Black alum will take over the role recently held by Giuliana Rancic and Ryan Seacrest as lead interviewer on E!'s red carpet coverage. She will also host a series of celebrity interview specials for the cabler. Cox will begin her role with the 2022 award season -- though NBC just canceled the first big award show of 2022, the Golden Globes. “Laverne Cox is a risktaker, groundbreaking pioneer and a fashion tour de force,” said Jen Neal, executive VP of entertainment live events, specials and E!
