Katie Couric apologizes for her Opening Ceremonies suggestion that the Dutch skate to work every day on frozen canals

Couric apologized via Twitter last night after the Dutch embassy threw her some shade over her suggestion that skating to work on frozen canals is how the Dutch excel in speed skating. Couric tweeted: "My apologies for being on thin ice for my comments re: skating on canals. I was trying to salute your historical passion for the sport but it didn’t come out that way!"
