Jan Broberg kidnapping story to become a limited series from The Act's co-creator

Broberg, whose kidnapping was the subject of the Netflix documentary Abducted in Plain Sight, will serve as executive prouder along with her mother on the Universal Content Productions limited series from The Act co-creator Nick Antosca. "The untitled Broberg series will follow the bizarre true story of how Jan was kidnapped multiple times over a period of years by a charismatic, obsessed family 'friend,'" per Variety. "The Brobergs — devoted to their faith, family, and community — were utterly unprepared for the sophisticated tactics their neighbor used to exploit their vulnerabilities, drive them apart, and turn their daughter against them."
