It's official: Black-ish creator Kenya Barris joins Netflix in deal worth "roughly $100 million"

Barris' three-year deal puts him "in the same ballpark" as new Netflix mega-deal showrunners Ryan Murphy and Shonda Rhimes. According to Variety, "the basics of his new Netflix agreement had also been in place for some time." Barris was let out of his ABC Studios deal last month, five months after ABC pulled an episode of Black-ish that reportedly dealt with athletes kneeling during the National Anthem.
