Isiah Whitlock Jr.: ‘Twenty years later, I am still dealing with The Wire’

Whitlock has embraced being the “sheeeeeeeeeit” guy from The Wire. He even earns money with a talking bobblehead of his likeness. But from Veep to his recent projects Your Honor and I Care a Lot, Whitlock has had many memorable roles. "I remember when we finished, I thought it was one of those things—like all the other roles—that would just kind of drift away," Whitlock says of The Wire. "I knew that, at the time, we were making a big impact on the social condition in the country and in various cities, even though this took place in Baltimore. But I really thought it was just going to drift away. I was shocked, well—yeah, shocked. I am very surprised that, 20 years later, I am still dealing with The Wire. A lot of that has to do with the famous catchphrase that I perpetuated."
