Iron Fist Season 2 recognizes that Danny Rand is the worst thing about the show

After a widely panned Season 1, Iron Fist is back with a new showrunner, Raven Metzner, who seems to recognize the main Season 1 flaw was Finn Jones' Danny Rand. "The first six episodes of season 2 aim to turn the series around by stripping Danny of his resources and emphasizing the show’s supporting cast," says Samantha Nelson. "Iron Fist is still a mess of comic book and kung fu clichés, but the later episodes of the second season show its potential to actually tell a good story." Nelson adds: "Iron Fist remains the weakest of the Netflix MCU portfolio, but its creators are trying to improve a bad situation by acknowledging their season 1 problems and modeling their story after better shows to the degree they can without entirely losing their much-maligned title character. Burdened by an unlikeable protagonist and problematic concept, the show may never be able to achieve greatness."
