How Netflix cornered the market on coming-of-age teen series

Netflix has found a new audience in the post-millennial generation with shows like 13 Reasons Why, Degrassi: The Next Generation, On My Block and Everything Sucks! -- not to mention Stranger Things. "Altogether, these dynamic shows make for a Netflix Originals library that's flush with series that detail, from multiple points of view and in many different styles, the challenges and triumphs of adolescence," says Kaitlin Thomas.
