How Euphoria obtained the many pictures of penises shown in this week's episode

Euphoria intimacy coordinator Amanda Blumenthal and her team reached out to friends and friends of friends to source images for a penis photo sequence in Sunday's episode, according to the L.A. Times. They never conducted a public search for penis photos. “When we had people who were a ’yes,’ we sent them a consent form — what is, in legal speak, called a 'nudity rider,'" Blumenthal tells The Times. “We talked to them specifically about what it is that we were looking for, and then, once they had signed it, they went ahead and took the photos themselves. So they had complete control over what was going to be shown.” As The Times notes, HBO has been an industry leader in hiring intimacy coordinators so that the men photographing their penises knew exactly what they were getting into.
