Harrison Ford is set to star in The Staircase, his first regular TV role

The movie icon is attached to star in and executive produce Annapurna TV's scripted adaptation of The Staircase, the hit 2004 French TV-produced docuseries that detailed the trial of American novelist Michael Peterson, who was accused of killing his wife in 2001 after claiming she fell down stairs at their home. Harrison would play Peterson in the project that is currently being shopped to networks and streaming services. Although The Staircase would mark Ford's first regular TV series role, he is not new to television, having appeared on shows such as The FBI, Gunsmoke, Kung Fu and The Virginian before his 1977 breakout role in Star Wars.
