HBO orders skateboarding comedy Betty inspired by the film Skate Kitchen

The six-episode Betty will see Rachelle Vinberg, Nina Moran, Moonbear, Dede Lovelace and Ajani Russell reprising their roles from their 2018 critically acclaimed Sundance film. Betty follows a diverse group of young women skateboarders in New York City as they navigate their lives through the predominantly male-oriented world of skateboarding. Skate Kitchen director Crystal Moselle created the series along with Love co-creator Lesley Arfin.
