HBO Max orders Adam McKay's The Uninhabitable Earth, a scripted anthology series tackling the climate change crisis

McKay will write and direct the first episode of the limited series based on New York Magazine journalist David Wallace-Wells' 2017 article "The Uninhabitable Earth," which warned of the famine, economic collapse and "a sun that cooks us" that could result from climate change. The series will examine possible futures brought on by specific actions or inaction in the face of the current climate crisis, with Wallace-Wells serving as a consulting producer.
