George Lucas apparently likes The Mandalorian more than the recent Disney Star Wars trilogy

The Hollywood Reporter featured a wide-ranging interview with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni about Season 1. In it, Filoni revealed some of the advice Lucas gave him. "He's been very complimentary," said Filoni. "I think he's enjoyed the show, and he said once (that) now he gets to watch it as a fan and watch it as a viewer." Even though Filoni didn't reveal much, Brady Langmann points out that the comments leave the impression he prefers the Disney+ series over the sequel trilogy.
