Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman is returning to network TV with drama The Dreamers, reuniting with former NBC boss Warren Littlefield

Kaufman and her daughter Hannah K.S. Canter will co-write the dramas based on Karen Thompson Walker’s novel. The Dreamers is about a small college town that is transformed by a mysterious sickness that locks victims in perpetual sleep and triggers extraordinary, life-altering dreams. Littlefield, who was NBC Entertainment president during Friends' NBC Must-See TV heyday, will serve as an executive producer.
