Ellen Pompeo: Grey's Anatomy is "not responsible for politicizing COVID"

"That's not on us," Pompeo said during Variety's Virtual Power of Women panel on Thursday, addressing Grey's decision to tackle the coronavirus crisis. Showrunner Krista Vernoff agreed, saying: "I think it's our job to humanize it. I feel like the politicians have politicized an illness that affects human beings regardless of political affiliation.
