Ellen Burstyn among three cast on Showtime's The First Lady: She'll play Franklin Delano Roosevelt's mom

Oscar-, Emmy- and Tony-winning actress Burstyn is helping round out the Rooesevelt family on the Showtime anthology series, playing Sara Delano Roosevelt, the mother of Kiefer Sutherland's FDR. She'll be joined by Sharp Objects alum Eliza Scanlen as a young Eleanor Roosevelt and Mare of Easttown's Cailee Spaeny as Anna Eleanor Roosevelt, the eldest child and only daughter of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt.
