Drew Brees signs a deal with NBC Sports over ESPN

The New Orleans Saints quarterback and future Pro Football Hall of Famer, who recently signed a two-year $50 million deal with the Saints, will be groomed to replace Cris Collinsworth on Sunday Night Football, reports the New York Post's Andrew Marchand. Brees will join NBC Sports when he eventually retires from the NFL. Marchand adds that "ESPN declined a financial offer from Brees that could have landed him on Monday Night Football."
