Discovery now owns a 95% stake in OWN after Oprah Winfrey opted for a $35 million-plus stake in Discovery

Discovery's share in the Oprah Winfrey Network has gone from 73% to 95%, according to The Hollywood Reporter, after Winfrey elected to swap most of Harpo’s interest in OWN for voting Series A shares in Discovery. Winfrey will continue serving as CEO and chief creative officer of OWN, but with only a 5% ownership stake.
