Defamation lawsuit filed over The Assassination of Gianni Versace

An anonymous person is suing FX, Netflix, American Crime Story writer Tom Rob Smith and Maureen Orth, whose book inspired the series, alleging they were defamed by the show. The lawsuit, which doesn't actually mention The Assassination of Gianni Versace, states that the person suing was defamed by the show “including a false implication that Plaintiff is a chronic abuser of alcohol who consumes alcohol throughout the day.”
