David Hasselhoff says he’s being considered to judge American Idol — Katy Perry doubts it’s true

The Hoff, a veteran of America’s Got Talent, said his people have been contacted by Idol. But Katy Perry, the only judge named so far, said it would be wrong to have "The Hoff" on her panel. “I know there are some people that are in play, and David's not necessarily been one of them,” she said this morning on SiriusXM. “(The judges) have to be people that you respect in the music industry as far as people that you go, 'Oh, yeah, they have something to contribute as far as constructive criticism."
