Daria is the latest MTV revival in the works, joining Made, Real World and Aeon Flux

Animated comedy Daria & Jodie will reimagine feminist series Daria, which ran from 1997 to 2002. Daria & Jodie is part of the newly launched MTV Studios' mission to mine successful MTV properties from MTV's 35-year history. Teen makeover series Made, which launched in 2002, will be relaunched "in a world of 2D Instagram transformations." Plans to revive Aeon Flux and The Real World emerged earlier this month. Daria & Jodie will be written by Inside Amy Schumer and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt writer Grace Edwards. According to MTV's logline, "the iconic animated franchise is reinvented through the eyes of heroine Daria Morgendorffer and one of her closest friends Jodie Landon. These two smart young women take on the world, with their signature satirical voice while deconstructing popular culture, social classes, gender and race."
