Dan Levy clarifies: I didn't start the tradition of SNL hosts leaving notes to their successor

Levy made headlines for leaving a note for Regina King after he was done hosting Saturday Night Live. “I feel the need to clarify this… I didn’t start (the tradition),” he said on Today. “I kind of continued it.” Levy noted that Woody Harrelson left a note after he hosted SNL to successor Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
