Crazy Ex-Girlfriend taps Pitch Perfect's Skyler Astin to play a "reimagined" version of Greg

“Rachel (Bloom) and I had always been exploring bringing back that character and sort of trying to figure out a way to do it that suited our show,” said co-creator Aline Brosh McKenna of the Greg role, originally played by Santino Fontana. “So now bringing the character of Greg back, he is part of our storytelling.
