Connie Britton returning to 9-1-1 for the two-part Season 3 finale

Britton exited the Fox drama after the first season playing  911 operator Abby Clark. Co-creator Tim Minear has said Britton was welcome to return to give Abby's story closure. “The front door, back door and side door are always open for her to return,” he said at the TV press tour in 2018. Britton will return for the final two episodes of the season on May 4 and May 11.
