Christopher Walken to lead Stephen Merchant's British TV series The Offenders for BBC and Amazon

The Office co-creator Merchant and Mayans M.C. co-creator Elgin James are behind The Offenders. The series is described as crime thriller-meets-state-of-the-nation commentary, following seven strangers, "The Offenders," from different walks of life who are forced together to complete a Community Payback sentence in Bristol. Walken plays Frank, an inveterate scoundrel trying to reconnect with his family, in his first British TV role. Last month, Walken joined Apple TV+'s Severance as his first regular TV role.
