Charlamagne Tha God's weekly Comedy Central show lands Stephen Colbert as executive producer

The Breakfast Club star will host Tha God’s Honest Truth with Lenard “Charlamagne” McKelvey, a weekly Comedy Central Friday late-night talk show premiering Sept. 17 that was first announced a year ago. Earlier this week, Colbert teased a return to Comedy Central while getting lost driving in South Carolina. In a follow-up teaser, Charlamagne is sitting in Colbert's car, asking the fellow South Carolina native to be his executive producer. Da God's Honest Truth will feature McKelvey’s “culturally fluent take on social issues in a variety of deep dives, sketches and social experiments that deftly unpack the most pressing topics permeating politics and culture,” according to the official description. “Redemptively comedic, refreshingly unfiltered and unapologetically Black, nothing is off limits.” Rachael Edwards will serve as showrunner.
