CBS is reviving Murphy Brown with Candice Bergen and creator Diane English

The classic CBS sitcom, which premiered 30 years ago and departed 20 years ago, has been given a 13-episode revival order. Deadline reports that “Bergen will reprise her role as the famous investigative journalist and TV anchor at the FYI network, as Murphy Brown returns to a world of cable news, social media, fake news and a very different political and cultural climate.” Other original cast members haven't been confirmed for the revival, though talks are happening. Murphy Brown aired from November 1988 to May 1998 with 247 episodes, winning 18 Emmys, including two for best comedy.
