CBS defends showing crying children during NCAA tournament games

Many fans have called the "crying kid" shots "lazy" and "cruel and exploitative." But executive producer Harold Bryant says they are an important aspect of the tourney. “It’s part of the drama and the storytelling of the tournament,” he says. “It’s part of the emotion. We try to capture the emotion and we try to strike that right balance.”
