British cop dramedy No Offence from Shameless creator Paul Abbott is getting an American remake

The Channel 4 police series No Offence, which aired for three seasons between 2015 and 2018, "follows an iron-willed cop with a tough love approach to leading her team of detectives," per Deadline. "After uncovering links between a murder, a drowning, and a disappearance, the team must work to identify the assailant before more vulnerable young women fall victim, while continuing to solve their day-to-day cases." Bored to Death executive producer Sarah Condon will lead the American adaptation.
