Jeremy Kyle, who had an American version of his talk show from 2011 to 2013, has been compared to Jerry Springer with his confrontational format. Two weeks ago, Kyle had a guest take a lie-detector test to prove he was faithful to his wife. The guest failed and was found dead one week later. ITV announced it was suspending the show on Monday. But after an outcry from politicians, therapists and viewers, ITV today canceled The Jeremy Kyle Show. “Given the gravity of recent events we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show," said ITV chief executive Carolyn McCall in a statement.
