Bo Burnham exits Larry Bird role on HBO's Los Angeles Lakers series, which has added five new actors

The comedian has left the untitled project on the 1980s Showtime Lakers due to scheduling conflicts. Sean Patrick Shaul will take over the Larry Bird role. Meanwhile, the Lakers series has cast Olli Haaskivi as Nike founder Phil Knight, Rachel Hilson as Magic Johnson's girlfriend Cindy Day, Newton Mayenge as veteran NBA forward Jim Chones and Jon Young as Brad Holland, the only Laker wholesome enough to be nicknamed “Potsie.”
