The only update to the Joshua Dela Cruz-hosted Blue’s Clues & You, which premiered Monday on Nickelodeon, are small tweaks like using email instead of mail and a phone instead of a notebook. But the built-in silence was maintained to ensure that preschoolers can participate. “Kids have more access to technology. They’re more visual. But from a child development perspective, emotionally, they’re the same. If anything, they need to slow down and take a step at a time more than ever,” said co-creator Angela Santomero, quoting the show’s theme song.
