Billy Harbach, The Tonight Show’s first producer, dies at 98

Harbach, a four-time Emmy winner, was tapped by NBC to launch the legendary late-night show Tonight! with Steve Allen. He also discovered Raquel Welch for ABC’s The Hollywood Palace, co-produced The Julie Andrews Show in the 1970s and produced the first three Kennedy Center Honors.
