Bill Clinton and James Patterson's The President Is Missing isn't going forward at Showtime over coronavirus

The cancelation of the David Oyelowo-led drama pilot, based on former President Clinton and Patterson's book, was revealed by co-star Ann Dowd to Variety. "Speaking at a junket for the new Netflix film Rebecca, Dowd revealed that a combination of COVID-19 and current political events were behind the prospective series’ demise," reports Variety's Will Thorne and Marc Malkin. "Another source close to the production confirmed that the pandemic played a significant part in the network’s decision."
