Beverley Owen, The Munsters' original Marilyn Munster, dies at 81

The Munsters star Butch Patrick announced that his TV sister died on Facebook. Owen played Marilyn on the first 13 episodes of the classic sitcom, opting to leave the series to marry writer-producer Jon Stone. She was replaced by Pat Priest for the remaining episodes. “Beautiful Beverly Owen has left us," Patrick, who played Eddie Munster, wrote on Facebook. "What a sweet soul. I had the biggest crush on her. RIP Bev and thanks for your 13 memorable Marilyn Munster episodes.”
