Bette Midler slams Disney Channel's Hocus Pocus remake: “I know it’s cheap. It’s going to be cheap!”

Midler expressed doubt that the Disney Channel remake of the beloved 1993 film can succeed. Neither director Kenny Ortega nor the original cast members are involved. “I’m not sure what they’re going to do with my character,” she said. “My character is very, very broad and I don’t know who they’re going to find to play that.”
